Arakan Army: The Way of Rakhita 2018
The Arakan Army is the only Arakanese people’s liberation army and defence force struggling for sovereign power and political rights against the Burman colonial domination and occupation in the exercise of the right of national self-determination to protect the fatherland of Arakan and its people.
Arakan had been an independent nation for thousands years since 3000 BC before the Burman (Bamar) monarch Boedaw U Wine and his militants invaded it in 1784 without declaration of war. As Rousseau pointed out in his book “social contract” that “the foreigner, whether king, individual, or people, who robs, kills, or detains the subjects, without declaring war on the prince, is not an enemy, but a brigand”, the 1784 invasion of Arakan by the Bamar brigand can be clearly classified as an act of marauders.
Under the Burman colonial rule and racist regime, Arakan has now become the poorest state of Myanmar where people of Arakan are falling into the vicious cycle of inequality, poverty and famine. These great sufferings and tragedies have given the Arakanese new generations no choice but to launch national revolution.
In the video clip documented by Tribal Action Group below, the voices of Arakanese young revolutionaries calling for national revolution against the Burman colonial rule and oppression in Arakan can be heard.
